3d, Concept, VR
While staff at Buck I had the opportunity to work on some early tests for what eventually became a Google Daydream VR homescreen. They wanted to land in a 360 degree valley complete with running river and waterfall and my work resulted in this test environment that could further the discussion. I constantly checked my progress and artistic decisions with an Oculus Rift headset to design the experience from the user-perspective. Personally I spend a great deal of time outdoors and enjoy the tranquility of natural landscapes, having incorporated them in my other work, so it was a joy to bring that sensibility to a 3d VR experience.
